It is a philosophy of work that focus on the elimination of waste and on adding value to the customer, in all processes of the organization and is based on three pillars:
- Provide real value to the customer: giving a product or service that solves his problem completely, minimizing the cost, providing exactly what they expect, where and when demand it.
- Eliminate waste: Understanding waste as all the activities of a process that do not add value to the customer and add cost. All the tasks that are executed and the customer does not appreciate, are unnecessary.
- Develop flexible processes: To be able to adapt quickly to meet demand and customer needs at any time, in terms of type of product (design) and capacity (scalability).
Diagnosis of opportunity for improvement (DOM)
Identify the main problems and design an improvement plan to optimize processes, reduce and / or eliminate costs and activities that limit the efficient performance through a situational analysis.
Once listed the causes that influence the emergence of problems, you need to identify potential causes and make them targets for improvement.
Production costs optimization
Increase the efficiency of the whole process, getting waste reduction, saving time and eliminating steps that do not add value to the production process. Methods, organization, training, etc., that can be used to shorten preparation machines, ways to get quality at the first stage without any losses or need for rework, better use of materials, etc.
